We don’t just sell creative solutions to our clients and partners, we help to shape them; using our expert knowledge of ad products, sales channels and the industry to impact the way the world experiences music and podcasts.

The Trust & Safety team plays a critical role in protecting the experience of millions of listeners, creators, and partners across Spotify. We work across music, podcasts, and emerging AI-driven features to define how safety shows up in our products. This team sits at the intersection of policy, product, and operations, partnering across the business to ensure our platform remains safe, creative, and inclusive for everyone.

What You'll Do
  • Help shape how Spotify defines and enforces policies across music, podcasts, AI features, and user-generated content
  • Research, draft, implement, and iterate on content and generative AI policies that can scale globally
  • Partner with Product, Legal, Operations, and Engineering teams to align on policy direction and enforcement strategies
  • Review new product features and launches, ensuring user safety is considered from the start
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve policy clarity, enforcement consistency, and user protection
  • Conduct risk assessments, contribute to red-teaming exercises, and stay ahead of emerging online safety trends
  • Lead high-priority or sensitive investigations into potential policy violations
  • Identify opportunities to improve policies and workflows based on data, feedback, and operational insights

  • Who You Are
  • You have 3+ years of experience working on policy development, enforcement, or trust & safety in a global context
  • You are experienced with online safety topics, including generative AI, free expression, and user protection
  • You know how to navigate ambiguity and bring structure to complex, evolving problem spaces
  • You are comfortable influencing cross-functional stakeholders and aligning teams with different priorities
  • You communicate clearly and effectively, adapting your style to different audiences
  • You have strong critical thinking skills and can translate insights into practical improvements
  • You have experience managing multiple projects across time zones and driving them to completion
  • You are comfortable handling high-pressure situations, including escalations and crisis scenarios
  • You care deeply about building safe and inclusive online communities

  • Where You'll Be
  • This role is based in Dublin
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
  • Spotify is an equal opportunity employer. You are welcome at Spotify for who you are, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or what’s playing in your headphones. Our platform is for everyone, and so is our workplace. The more voices we have represented and amplified in our business, the more we will all thrive, contribute, and be forward-thinking! So bring us your personal experience, your perspectives, and your background. It’s in our differences that we will find the power to keep revolutionizing the way the world listens.

At Spotify, we are passionate about inclusivity and making sure our entire recruitment process is accessible to everyone. We have ways to request reasonable accommodations during the interview process and help assist in what you need. If you need accommodations at any stage of the application or interview process, please let us know - we’re here to support you in any way we can.

Spotify transformed music listening forever when we launched in 2008. Our mission is to unlock the potential of human creativity by giving a million creative artists the opportunity to live off their art and billions of fans the chance to enjoy and be passionate about these creators. Everything we do is driven by our love for music and podcasting. Today, we are the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service.
