  • Support ongoing supplier portfolio management and cost reduction projects through supplier communications, preproduction sample inspection, and related activities in coordination with the Ergodyne Product Management and Sourcing teams
  • Support product testing and certification projects through communication with test labs, management of test samples, and generation of supporting documentation
  • Audit and maintain product specification records and other product documentation such as declarations of conformity and related product testing reports
  • Own and drive new product setup including product material and design specification gathering and documentation

Description

The Product Operations Specialist supports the Product team by owning and executing various Product Development, Product Line Maintenance, Sourcing and Regulatory Compliance activities as assigned.


Reporting to the Product Operations Specialist, this person’s day-to-day includes project communication with suppliers, preparation of test samples and management of testing and certification projects, creation and revision of product specification and technical files, inspection of preproduction samples, auditing of product records, process documentation and similar activities as needed by the Product team.


This person must be willing to travel very occasionally, including potentially international travel.


This role is based in our St Paul office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays.

You have already accomplished (required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or other related subject
  • 5+ years in product development or related field
  • Proficiency using Microsoft applications and tools (Excel, Sharepoint, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

You may have already accomplished (preferred):

  • Experience working with domestic and foreign manufacturing partners and test labs

Key Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing supplier portfolio management and cost reduction projects through supplier communications, preproduction sample inspection, and related activities in coordination with the Ergodyne Product Management and Sourcing teams
  • Support product testing and certification projects through communication with test labs, management of test samples, and generation of supporting documentation
  • Audit and maintain product specification records and other product documentation such as declarations of conformity and related product testing reports
  • Support sourcing and new product development projects by executing packaging, instructions, and product marking projects as needed
  • Support Product Managers with new product development and preproduction sample management and inspection
  • Own and drive new product setup including product material and design specification gathering and documentation
  • Liaise with Product Information Management (PIM) team to drive product record completion and support ongoing product record audits
  • Execute the implementation and documentation of running product design and specification changes via the engineering change order (ECO) process as assigned
  • Occasionally support voice of customer (VOC) activity as requested
  • Occasionally Support tradeshow and Ergodyne event activities as requested
  • Other duties as assigned
