Innovative Network of Knowledge will provide this role with a company provided laptop, but the employee will secure and cover the cost for the operation of this technology in the virtual landscape of his/her home office. (internet, telephone, home office setup, etc.).

Position Overview:


The Dean of Early College High School & Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a senior academic leader responsible for designing, launching, and sustaining the organization’s Early College High School and P-TECH model while also leading the vision, implementation, and continuous improvement of Project-Based Learning (PBL) across all campuses.
This role is both visionary and operational—owning the full lifecycle of the Early College model from design to execution, including building and maintaining strong partnerships with higher education institutions and industry partners. Simultaneously, this leader ensures that PBL is deeply embedded in instructional practice, driving student engagement, real-world learning, and college and career readiness outcomes.


Essential Position Functions


Early College High School & P-TECH Development and Leadership


●    Design, develop, and implement the organization’s Early College High School and P-TECH model from the ground up.
●    Establish the program structure, student pathways, course sequences, and college credit alignment.
●    Lead the creation and execution of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with college and industry partners.
●    Serve as the primary relationship manager with higher education institutions, ensuring strong collaboration, alignment, and sustainability.
●    Coordinate with internal leadership to align staffing, scheduling, and student supports to meet Early College requirements.
●    Ensure compliance with Texas Early College High School and P-TECH design frameworks and accountability standards.
●    Monitor program effectiveness through data, student outcomes, and partner feedback; lead continuous improvement efforts.
●    Build scalable systems and processes to expand the Early College model across campuses over time.


Project-Based Learning (PBL) Vision and Implementation


●    Develop and support the implementation of PBL units across grade levels and content areas.
●    Provide training and instructional support to teachers on PBL design, facilitation, and assessment.
●    Curate and distribute resources, tools, and templates for high-quality, standards-aligned PBL.
●    Monitor the impact of PBL across classrooms and lead data-driven refinements.
●    Collaborate with instructional coaches and leadership to align PBL to school priorities and outcomes.
●    Lead the strategic vision and execution of PBL across all campuses as a core instructional model.
●    Design and implement a cohesive, standards-aligned PBL framework that ensures rigor, consistency, and authenticity.
●    Develop high-quality PBL units, exemplars, and instructional resources for cross-campus use.
●    Provide ongoing coaching, training, and support to teachers and instructional leaders on PBL design, facilitation, and assessment.
●    Establish systems for monitoring PBL implementation and measuring impact on student engagement and achievement.
●    Lead continuous improvement cycles using data, classroom observations, and stakeholder feedback.
●    Ensure PBL aligns with college and career readiness outcomes, including integration with Early College pathways.


Cross-Functional Collaboration


●    Work closely with the Chief of Schools, Principal and Director of Operations,  instructional staff,  and student support services teams.
●    Support accreditation processes through documentation of PD, instructional models, and assessment data.
●    Participate in schoolwide initiatives and strategic planning sessions to support instructional excellence.

Education & Certification Requirements
Master’s Degree Education


Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities 
●    Master’s degree in Education or Curriculum and Instruction Design
●    Valid Texas K–12 educator certification 
●    Minimum 2 years of experience in education


Preferred:


●    Principal Certification a plus
●    Instructional Coaching certification preferred
●    Experience in an online or hybrid K–12 school environment
●    TTESS certification a plus
●    Experience working with diverse student populations
●    Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a remote setting
●    Experience coordinating professional development or instructional programs
●    Strong understanding of Project-Based Learning design and implementation
●    Experience managing or coordinating standardized testing programs
●    Tech-savvy; comfortable using virtual platforms (Google Workspace, Zoom/Google Meet, LMS/SIS systems)
●    Experience with MAP, SAT/ACT coordination, and testing compliance
●    Knowledge of Cognia or similar accreditation processes
●    Instructional design and/or curriculum development background
●    Experience in adult learning theory and teacher coaching
