  • Establish standards, controls, and documentation to scale FPA outputs; act as escalation point for complex analytical or data-related challenges; collaborate with upstream data owners and system teams to resolve root causes
  • Support forecasting and reporting for subscription-based revenue; analyze SaaS financial performance (ARR, recurring vs non-recurring) and build dynamic reports/dashboards; forecast and report on subscription metrics

Job Description:

Job Summary

  • The FP&A Manager is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis activities. This role is based in India and supports a US-based Finance organization, acting as a strategic extension of the US FP&A leadership team.
  • The position involves owning complex financial analysis, planning support, and executive-ready reporting, while driving data integrity and process improvements across systems.
  • This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of individual contribution, independence, and sound judgment. While direct people management responsibilities may be limited initially, the role carries manager-level ownership, decision-making authority, and accountability, including end-to-end responsibility for key deliverables and stakeholder outcomes.
  • The role requires strong FP&A fundamentals, a structured problem-solving approach, and the ability to work effectively across time zones with minimal supervision.
  • A strong understanding of software and SaaS business models is essential, including familiarity with key performance indicators such as Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), recurring vs. non-recurring revenue streams, and customer lifecycle metrics.
  • The role also involves analysing and interpreting SaaS financial performance and supporting forecasting and reporting related to subscription-based revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic FP&A & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a primary FP&A partner to US-based finance leaders and business stakeholders.

  • Perform complex financial analyses related to business performance and planning.
  • Provide insight-driven recommendations to support executive decision-making.

Reporting, Data Governance & Quality Ownership

  • Own end-to-end delivery of management reporting, executive presentations, and dashboards.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment of financial data across systems.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve data inconsistencies and process gaps.
  • Establish standards, controls, and documentation to improve scalability of FP&A outputs.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex analytical or data-related challenges.
  • Apply structured problem-solving to address ambiguous or incomplete data scenarios.
  • Collaborate with upstream data owners and system teams to resolve root causes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA, CA, CFA preferred).
  • 7–12 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Experience supporting US or global stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI.
  • Strong financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver senior-level outputs.
  • Ability to interpret financial ratios and metrics and build dynamic reports and dashboards.
  • Exposure to tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and SAP.
  • Background in management consulting, Big 4 advisory, finance transformation, Global Capability Center (GCC) or shared services environment Preferred.
  • Financial certifications such as CFA or CPA Preferred.
