Roles & Responsibilities

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required; at least one year of work experience in a foreclosure firm.
  • Knowledge of foreclosure fees, payoffs, and reinstatements is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products; BKFS, Vendorscape, SSE Portal and TEMPO experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects; excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

JOB SUMMARY:

The role of the Senior Lien Monitor is responsible for overseeing and monitoring lien-related activities to ensure compliance with client requirements, court deadlines, and state regulations. This role reviews lien documentation, tracks timelines, resolves escalated issues, and supports operational efficiency within the department. The Senior Lien Monitor may also assist with training, workflow coordination, and quality assurance functions. 


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and monitor lien files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm and client requirements. 
  • Track deadlines related to liens, filings, releases, and court requirements to ensure timely processing. 
  • Analyze lien documentation and identify discrepancies, missing information, or potential risks. 
  • Communicate with attorneys, courts, clients, vendors, and internal departments regarding lien status and resolution. 
  • Escalate complex or high-risk issues to leadership as appropriate. 
  • Assist with resolving title, lien, or documentation discrepancies. 
  • Maintain accurate records and update case management systems regularly. 
  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure adherence to department procedures and service standards. 
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members or new hires. 
  • Assist leadership with reporting, workflow management, and process improvement initiatives. 
  • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and client-specific requirements. 
  • Participate in training and department meetings as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This job does not require the exercise of supervisory responsibilities. 


EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • At least one year of work experience in a Foreclosure Firm
  • Knowledge of foreclosure fees, payoffs and reinstatements is a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Fee Requests/Approvals with billing experience in a law firm that has a high transaction volume is preferred;
  • Proficiency with excel and other Microsoft products;
  • BKFS, Vendorscape, SSE Portal and TEMPO experience preferred, but not required;
  • Proficiency in Judicial foreclose process;
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
  • Overall good attitude and willingness to adapt to change;
  • Must possess good organizational skills;
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner;
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities;
  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit;
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness;
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality;
  • Must be very analytical and have excellent problem solving skills;
