  • Represent Toon Boom as a market leader at industry events and lead commercial negotiations to ensure mutually beneficial agreements in compliance with local regulations

      🌍 Work Location 

      This is a 100% remote position based in Japan, hired under our Toon Boom Japan legal entity. While there is no physical office requirement for this role, you must be based in Tokyo to be eligible for this position.


      🤩 What you'll do

      We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Account Executive to lead revenue growth and strategic market expansion for Toon Boom in Japan. This role will focus on new business acquisition, customer expansion, strategic relationship management, and strengthening Toon Boom’s position within the Japanese animation industry. The ideal candidate combines strong sales execution capabilities with deep relationship-building skills and an understanding of the Japanese business and creative ecosystem.

      The Account Executive will serve as a key market leader and ambassador for Toon Boom in Japan, working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Support teams to deliver long-term customer value and sustainable business growth.


      Your main responsibilities:

      Revenue Growth, Market Development & Sales Execution

      • Execute a territory growth strategy aligned with Toon Boom’s global revenue.
      • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, expanding Toon Boom’s presence through strategic customer engagement and ecosystem development. 
      • Drive new logo acquisition and expansion opportunities across studios, broadcasters, education institutions, and strategic partners. 
      • Develop localized go-to-market approaches aligned with the needs of the Japanese market. 
      • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product positioning and strategic planning. 
      • Develop and grow relationships with animation schools, universities, and vocational institutions as a distinct revenue segment. 
      • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, owning the full cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close. 
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key industry stakeholders. 
      • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention, partnering closely with Customer Success and Support to drive strong outcomes and adoption. 
      • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and operational discipline within Salesforce.

       

      Leadership & Brand Representation: Represent Toon Boom as market leader and ambassador at industry events, conferences, and trade shows across Japan. 

       

      Contract Negotiation & Compliance: Lead commercial negotiations to ensure mutually beneficial agreements, in full compliance with local regulations and Toon Boom’s ethical and operational standards.


      🎯 What you'll need

        • You bring at least 5+ years of experience in SaaS, Media & Entertainment, Technology, or related sales roles
        • You have a proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
        • You have a strong understanding of the Japanese business environment and relationship-driven sales culture
        • You have experience managing strategic accounts and complex sales cycles
        • You possess excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
        • You demonstrate strong operational discipline and forecasting capabilities
        • You thrive working cross-functionally in a global organization
        • You are native or fluent in Japanese with strong English communication skills
        • You are proficient with Salesforce
