Roles & Responsibilities

  • Minimum 5 years of adjusting experience with a Level 3 Independent Adjuster license in the home province and the ability to obtain licensure nationwide.
  • CIP designation with completion of courses including C11, C12, C14, C110, C13, C32, C111, and C112.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience (one year of relevant experience equals one year of college).
  • Current Level 3 Independent Adjuster license with the ability to be licensed nationally in Canada.

Requirements:

  • Provides accountable oversight for the implementation and documentation of policies, practices, and processes.
  • Ensures proper licensing and insurance compliance for adjusters.
  • Develops strategies including short- and long-term plans to facilitate ongoing work, process improvement, customer relations and other functions.
  • Monitors quality assurance results and directs oversight of adjuster’s ethics, licensing, and compliance.

Job Location: Remote to ON, Canada

Job Summary: IPG is seeking an Advanced Claims Adjuster that leads and oversees the claims operations team ensuring regulatory requirements are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provides accountable oversight for the implementation and documentation of policies, practices, and processes.

  • Ensures proper licensing and insurance compliance for adjusters.

  • Develops strategies including short- and long-term plans to facilitate ongoing work, process improvement, customer relations and other functions.

  • Monitors quality assurance results.

  • Directs oversight of adjuster’s ethics, licensing, and compliance.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Additional Requirements:

Education: Must meet one of the following requirements:

Other: Canada position only

Accountability/Complexity: 

  • Canadian Employees only: 6 years’ relevant experience to include 3 years’ holding a Level 3 Independent Adjuster License

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college); or

  • CIP (Certified Insurance Professional) designation

  • Must hold Level 3 Independent Adjusters License with an ability to be licensed nationally

  • Typically, responsible for managing major/complex projects involving delegation of work and review of work product

  • Typically, responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area

  • May manage large projects or processes that span outside of immediate job area

  • May be responsible for leading daily operations.

  • May function as a team lead and assistant to the supervisor/manager.

You are looking for someone that has: Licenses/Certifications: 

  • Minimum 5 years of adjusting experience 

  • Has a level 3 adjusters license in their home province 

  • A CIP and has completed courses: 

    • C11 - Principles and Practice of Insurance

    • C12 - Insurance on Property

    • C14 - Automobile Insurance – Part 1

    • C110 - Essentials of Loss Adjusting

    • C13 - Insurance Against Liability – Part 1

    • C32 - Bodily Injury Claims

    • C111 - Advanced Loss Adjusting

    • C112 - Practical Issues in Claims Management

Documents to provide:

  • Copy of transcript with the Insurance Institute of Canada 

  • Current license number
