​The Finance Manager Upstream– Advanced Wound Care (AWC) serves as the senior finance leader and strategic partner for the AWC Upstream business. This role provides financial leadership across strategy, innovation, upstream marketing support, performance management, and value creation.
The role partners closely with the AWC Upstream Marketing leadership, R&D, IR (External Reporting) along with AWC Corp Strategy teams to drive profitable growth, margin expansion, innovation investment, and disciplined execution.

Business Strategy & Performance

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the AWC VP Marketing Upstream and leadership team, providing financial insight to guide strategic and operational decisions
  • Support business decisions and team to deliver impactful go-to-market (GTM) strategies, champion innovation, participate FEI and NPI gate-reviews and drive actions to improve both Organic and Inorganic portfolio innovation discussions, provide clear financial models to understand ROI, and support building strategic marketing excellence
  • Lead AWC Marketing financial strategy development aligned to enterprise objectives and AWC portfolio priorities
  • Partner closely with Global Portfolio & Upstream Marketing to support portfolio lifecycle management, NPIs, and inorganic opportunity assessment
  • Collaborate with R&D to evaluate innovation investment decisions, development programs, and long‑term technology roadmaps

Commercial & Operational Finance

  • Help set the business strategy through portfolio management, innovation prioritization, global pricing structures, and inorganic opportunities
  • Partner with both upstream marketing teams to ensure financial insight informs NPI launch planning, lifecycle management, and commercial prioritization
  • Drive visibility into performance drivers, risks, and opportunities across portfolios and geographies

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Partner with Downstream and FP&A on the long‑range planning processes for AWC

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required
  • 7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in large, complex organizations
  • Strong background in business partnering, and strategic finance

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or regulated environments preferred
  • Experience working in a cross function/ matrix environment
  • MBA, CPA/CA, or other advanced finance degree strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience supporting product portfolios
  • Proven ability to support margin expansion, pricing decisions, and operational performance improvement
  • Experience leading through transformation, change, and ambiguity
  • Strong business and financial acumen with a strategic mindset
  • Ability to build and translate financial analysis into clear business insights and actions
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence senior leaders
  • High ethical standards and strong governance orientation

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $187,600 - $257,950, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
