The Home Equity Sales Specialist will call on eligible consumers to offer JG Wentworth’s Home Equity Cashout (HEC), a/k/a Home Equity Investment. HEC is a unique product that allows homeowners to raise cash by tapping into the equity in their homes, without the burden of monthly loan payments or added debt. As a Home Equity Specialist, you’ll be fielding inquiries from JG Wentworth’s multi-channel marketing platform, cross-selling HEC to leads in other product areas, and guiding applicants all the way through the funding process. The ideal candidate is one who can effectively educate consumers on the benefits of a new financial solution; can follow a consultative and compliant sales process; and has a strong drive to help consumers achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage consumers who have inquired about financial solutions and inform them of this exciting new cash option
  • Expertly describe the HEC’s terms, benefits, and cashout options to individuals who may have limited-or-no prior knowledge of the product
  • Maximize conversion from lead to application, acceptance, approval, and ultimate funding
  • Manage inbound leads and cross-sell opportunities through proactive outreach and prompt responsiveness
  • Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of HEC applicants
  • Guide each individual through the application process while delivering timely updates, providing clear direction, setting appropriate expectations, and fielding questions and concerns
  • Demonstrate empathy and rapport-building while uncovering consumer financial goals, offering solutions, and communicating at all application touchpoints
  • Collaborate with members of cross-departmental teams to provide exceptional service to our customers
  • Demonstrate a desire for continuous improvement through ongoing coaching and training
  • Ensure all transactions adhere to compliance standards
  • Meet or exceed daily metrics and monthly targets while setting our customers up for success
Qualifications:
  • Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license through the NMLS preferred, not required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years in experience
  • Minimum two years of recent experience in Sales preferably within Finance or as an MLO
  • Strong business acumen and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High energy, competitive, passionate, and motivated to be #1
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to think critically and analyze risk
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
