As a freelance associate with us, you’ll be at the heart of this mission, supporting people to live healthier lives through our world-class digital platform.

The Opportunity

In this freelance role, you’ll manage your own caseload of participants, delivering 1:1 digital coaching via video, telephone, and asynchronous messaging. You will work independently to deliver life-changing support, using your expertise to drive sustainable lifestyle changes while following our evidence-based clinical protocols.

As a freelance health coach with Liva you will be:

• Providing expert health coaching to participants across various health programs (including weight management and diabetes prevention).

• Using motivational interviewing and behaviour change techniques to empower participants.

• Managing your delivery and documentation with clinical precision through the Liva platform.

• Maintaining professional boundaries and clinical excellence as a representative of Liva Health.

You'll be a great fit if you:

• Hold a degree in a health-related field (e.g. Nutrition, Psychology, Sports Science, Public Health) OR a recognised UK Health Coaching qualification (essential)

• Hold a UK Professional Registration in your field, e.g., an HCPC-registered psychologist or dietitian, an AfN-registered nutritionist, or a UKIHCA-registered Health Coach. (desirable)

• Have proven experience in motivational interviewing and behaviour change.

• Are a tech whiz who can navigate apps and online systems with ease.

• Are a natural motivator with excellent communication skills.

• Are fluent in any additional languages to English, especially: Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Gujarati, Somali, Tamil, Nepalese, Farsi, Bengali, and Romanian. We are also keen to hear from coaches able to deliver support in British Sign Language

• Can work independently, adapt to changing demands and multitask effectively.

• Have a passion for helping people reach their health goals.
  

Bonus points for: Experience with diabetes/weight management and a deep commitment to cultural sensitivity.

Please note: To get you set up and ready to support our projects, there are a few things we’ll need to tick off together.

• Location: Whilst our company works remotely, you’ll need to be based in and eligible to work in the UK (this is essential for data compliance).

• Professional Status: You’ll be registered as self-employed in the UK with your own UTR number (or be willing to obtain prior to attending training)

• Insurance: You’ll hold (or be willing to obtain prior to attending training) Professional Indemnity Insurance with at least £5m cover for health coaching activities.

• DBS: We require an Enhanced DBS check. If you aren't already on the DBS Update Service, we’ll handle the application and cover the cost for you if we're a match.
