Roles & Responsibilities

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP)
  • Extensive experience with enterprise backup platforms (Veeam preferred; Commvault desired)
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server administration
  • Advanced experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, Horizon, VDI)

Requirements:

  • Lead design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise virtualization and storage infrastructure (VMware vSphere, Horizon, VDI) and Windows Server administration
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and drive issue resolution across systems, virtualization, and storage layers
  • Ensure DoD security compliance by implementing DISA STIGs, system hardening, and related security frameworks
  • Develop clear documentation and effectively communicate status, plans, and risks to stakeholders

Job description

Job Role: Sr. Senior Virtualization/Storage Administrator
Location: Fort Belvoir, VA
Duration: Full time/Onsite
Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI

Requirements:
- Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP).
- Extensive experience with enterprise backup platforms (Veeam strongly preferred; Commvault experience highly desired).
- Strong expertise in Windows Server administration.
- Advanced experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, Horizon, VDI).
- Deep understanding of DISA STIGs, system hardening, and DoD security compliance frameworks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, virtualization, and storage layers.
- Experience leading technical efforts and mentoring junior staff.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- IAT II (8570) Certification
