Job Description

This is at the heart of everything we do, and we are seeking a Kinesiologist who shares this same philosophy for a fully remote role.
Lifemark is home to a diverse team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, massage therapists, clinical counsellors, psychologists, and physicians. In addition to single-stream care plans, we also service various specialty programs for occupational rehabilitation, early concussion, mental health reactivation, and veterans’ care.
The successful candidate will posses the ability to inquire for essential job demands, perform functional assessments, develop active exercise programs, and assist with return-to-work planning. This position will provide the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, as well as provide exposure to complex occupational rehabilitation cases.

In this role you will:
• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
• Conduct program orientations, group classes, and regular one-on-one education
• Assess essential job demands through vocational interviews or job site assessments
• Develop return-to-work plans with clients and employers
• Complete functional and vocational components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
• Participate in team conferences and collaborate with team members through rounds
Qualifications:
• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program
• 2+ years of experience is required
• Experience with return-to-work programs is considered an asset
• Membership in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario is a requirement
