Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of GEO and AI search, including how LLMs and answer engines retrieve and cite information, with proven expertise staying ahead of AI search developments.
  • Technical SEO mastery across site architecture, indexation management, schema implementation, and performance optimization (core web vitals, mobile-first).
  • WordPress and Elementor proficiency, capable of building and optimizing landing pages and site structures within the stack.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and strategic, process-driven mindset with experience working with agencies or enterprise clients; fluent English and proactive collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Conduct independent audits of websites and brand footprints to identify crawlability and AI citability gaps, and develop actionable GEO/AEO work plans with hourly estimates.
  • Lead full lifecycle GEO implementation including technical SEO, GEO Schema, WordPress/Elementor management, on-page natural language optimization, and reporting to measure rankings, traffic, and AI citation impact.
  • Manage GEO Roadmap platform responsibilities such as agency support, warm outreach replies, platform QA, domain approvals, product feedback, strategy contribution, and incident communications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Creative, Development, Business Development) to ensure GEO best practices, maintain proactive status updates, and stay ahead of AI search developments.

Job description

You will be joining Qualified Leads as our dedicated GEO and AI Search Specialist, responsible for the technical and strategic delivery of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) across a focused portfolio of key client accounts.

In addition, a portion of your time will be allocated to supporting GEO Roadmap  georoadmap.ai) — a B2B SaaS platform built exclusively for marketing agencies, developed by the Qualified Leads team. GEO Roadmap automates AI-readiness audits, discovery sessions, and strategy roadmap generation for agencies and their clients. Your deep domain knowledge makes you an integral part of this product’s growth and operations.

This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role ideal for someone who thrives on deep technical work, structured strategy, and the fast-moving world of AI search. You will work closely with the founders across both businesses.

Time Allocation

  • Qualified Leads (approx. 80%): GEO implementation and strategy across 5–6 key client accounts.
  • GEO Roadmap (approx. 20%): Platform support, agency customer success, outreach reply management, and product QA.

These percentages are indicative at the time of hire and will evolve as both businesses grow. As GEO Roadmap scales, the time allocated to the platform is expected to increase. Allocation will be reviewed collaboratively on a regular basis and agreed in advance of any material change.

Qualified Leads Responsibilities

  • Independent Auditing: Conduct comprehensive technical and content audits of websites and brand footprints to identify gaps in crawlability and AI citability.
  • Strategic Planning: Prepare detailed GEO/AEO work plans and roadmaps, broken down into actionable tasks with precise hourly estimates.
  • Full-Scale Implementation: Execute the full lifecycle of the strategy, including:
  • Technical SEO: Optimising site architecture, core web vitals, and mobile-first performance.
  • GEO & Schema: Implementing advanced structured data and entity-based optimisations to ensure AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) accurately parse and cite client content.
  • WordPress / Elementor Management: Directly managing and optimising landing pages and site structures within our preferred tech stack.
  • On-Page & Natural Language Optimisation: Formatting content for featured snippets and natural language queries.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Produce high-quality, slide-based reports for Account Managers. Measure impact through both quantitative data (rankings, traffic, AI citation frequency) and qualitative insights (brand sentiment in AI responses).
  • Operational Support: Coordinate with our Creative, Development, and Business Development teams to ensure GEO/AEO best practices are integrated across all channels.
  • Proactive Communication: Clearly communicate status updates, ask clarifying questions, and raise blockers early via Zoom and internal systems.

 

GEO Roadmap is a three-step SaaS tool built for marketing agencies: an AI-powered website audit, an AI-led discovery session, and an automated 10-page strategy roadmap.

Your role across the platform includes:

  • Agency Support: Managing inbound support enquiries from agency customers via our support system. You will be the first line of response, resolving issues or escalating appropriately.
  • Warm Outreach Replies: Handling replies from cold email sequences via Instantly. When agencies respond with interest, you will conduct the initial conversation before escalating to the founder.
  • Platform QA: Testing audit outputs, discovery session flows, and generated roadmaps to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency before and after product updates.
  • Domain Approval Queue: Reviewing and approving agency domain registrations as part of our verified-access onboarding model.
  • Product Feedback: Documenting bugs, UX issues, and feature requests from agency customers and feeding these back to the development team in a structured format.
  • Strategy Contribution: Contributing to ongoing product and go-to-market decisions based on your frontline experience with agencies and deep understanding of the GEO landscape.
  • Incident Communication: In the event of platform issues outside NZ business hours, acting as a first point of contact to communicate status to affected agencies and escalate to the technical team.
  • GEO & AI Search Expertise: Deep understanding of how LLMs and Answer Engines retrieve and cite information, with a genuine passion for staying ahead of AI search developments.
  • Technical SEO Mastery: Proven experience with technical site audits, indexation management, schema implementation, and site performance optimisation.
  • WordPress & Elementor: Highly proficient in building and optimising within WordPress and Elementor environments.
  • Customer-Facing Communication: Confident and professional in written communication with agency-level clients. Able to handle support and outreach conversations with credibility.
  • Strategic & Process-Driven: Comfortable preparing structured work plans and operating independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-Oriented: Focused on the finer details of technical audits, QA processes, and data accuracy.
  • Strong English Communication: Fluent in written and spoken English, with a proactive communication style.
  • Google Tag Manager: Experience with conversion tracking and event monitoring to support SEO data.
  • HubSpot: Knowledge of HubSpot CRM as it relates to lead generation and contentvintegration.
  • Project Management Tools: Experience collaborating via platforms such as ClickUp.
  • SaaS or Product Experience: Familiarity with SaaS platforms, product feedback processes, or customer success workflows.
