Location: Edinburgh, Scotland | Inverness, Scotland | Glasgow, Scotland

Scotland | Edinburgh & surrounding area preferred (Glasgow & Inverness also considered)

Do you thrive in high‑acuity clinical environments and want to use your expertise in a more commercial, customer‑facing role – without losing your clinical credibility?

Mindray UK is looking for a Clinical Application Specialist (Patient Monitoring & Life Support) to support and grow our presence across Scotland, working with cutting‑edge monitoring and life‑support technology in some of the region’s most critical care settings.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Clinical Applications professional – or a high‑calibre ODP or qualified Nurse ready to make the move into industry.

🏥 About the role

You’ll be the clinical expert and trusted partner to our customers, supporting the full journey of Mindray’s high‑acuity patient monitoring portfolio – from demonstrations and clinical evaluations through to installation, training and post‑sales support.

Working closely with Sales and Field Service colleagues, you’ll help clinicians get the very best from our technology in ICU, theatre and high‑dependency environments across Scotland. The role covers the whole country, with a particular focus on Edinburgh and Inverness.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Lives in Edinburgh or the surrounding area, or Glasgow
  • Currently works as a Clinical Application Specialist within a commercial medical device organisation
  • Has strong experience with high‑acuity patient monitoring
  • Comes from a clinical background as an ODP or qualified Nurse

We will also happily consider:

  • Candidates based around Inverness
  • ODPs or qualified Nurses coming directly from hospital settings
  • Strong ICU / high‑dependency experience, even without prior industry experience, where the clinical depth and motivation to move into a commercial role are clear

🔍 What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering product demonstrations, evaluations and clinical training in hospital environments
  • Acting as the clinical product specialist for Mindray’s PMLS portfolio
  • Supporting pre‑ and post‑sales activity alongside Sales and Service colleagues
  • Building trusted relationships with clinicians and key decision‑makers
  • Supporting product launches, marketing initiatives and congress activity
  • Feeding back market, clinical and competitor insights to internal teams
  • Continually developing your clinical, technical and product knowledge

✅ What we’re looking for

  • Qualified Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
  • Strong experience in ICU / high‑acuity clinical environments
  • Background in patient monitoring
  • Confident communicator and presenter, comfortable training individuals and groups
  • Organised, autonomous and happy to travel (up to ~70%)
  • Previous clinical applications experience in industry is highly desirable – but not essential for strong hospital candidates

💡 Why Mindray?

Mindray is a fast‑growing, globally recognised medical technology company, combining innovation, quality and real clinical impact. You’ll be supported to develop your commercial skillset while staying close to clinical practice – and you’ll have genuine influence in shaping how our technology is used across Scotland.
