About

As Director of Product - Checkout & Seller Experience (m/f/d) you will define the vision, strategy, and execution for how sellers - from independent dealers to private individuals - list, manage, and grow their business on Chrono24. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver a trusted, powerful, and intuitive platform that drives seller success, quality, and long-term marketplace health. Acting with a general manager mindset for your domain, you'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution to create measurable impact across our global seller base.

What you can expect

  • You define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Checkout & Seller Experience domain, aligning with Chrono24's overall product and marketplace strategy.
  • You act as the GM of your organization, owning key success metrics such as seller activation, listing quality, retention, and monetization.
  • You inspire, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and impact.
  • You collaborate deeply and frequently across the organization, including with Product, Technology, Finance, Operations, Data, Customer Service, and more.
  • You use data, experimentation, and seller insights to prioritize initiatives that reduce friction, increase seller confidence, and improve the quality and breadth of supply on the marketplace.
  • You build a highly functional team, with strong partnership between Product, Design, and Engineering to ensure seamless seller experiences, consistent delivery, and technical excellence.
  • You serve as the primary voice of the seller in company-wide strategy discussions - representing both professional dealers and private individuals - and influence decisions across the organization.
  • You develop a nuanced understanding of what it means to run a successful watch business, translating the commercial realities of professional dealers and the needs of private sellers into product decisions that work for both.

What sets you apart

  • A proven track record of senior product leadership - you have led product organizations in B2B, marketplace, or seller-facing environments at scale: This is not your first time in the seat.
  • Deep domain expertise on the seller side of a marketplace - you understand the commercial realities of running a business and can translate them into compelling product decisions.
  • A history of building and scaling high-performing, cross-functional teams - you've hired, developed, and retained strong talent, and have ideally led combined Product and Engineering organizations.
  • High degree of skill leveraging data and experimentation to inform strategy, measure performance, and deliver impact - with equal comfort in seller funnel analytics and qualitative research.
  • Industry-defining standards and a strong attention to detail, with equal comfort presenting a vision to executives and creating a product spec with your team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a long track record of building trusting relationships, driving alignment, and enabling highly effective collaboration across complex organizations.
  • Global outlook with strong expertise understanding, building for, and operating in a diverse array of worldwide markets.
  • Very good English skills - German proficiency is a big plus.
