Job Summary:

Our Account Managers play a vital role in maintaining strong relationships with SpecTec customers and generating revenue to grow the business. You'll develop and strengthen customer connections, enabling them to fully benefit from their existing solutions and discover new opportunities within the maritime application ecosystem.

Job Description:

Key duties involve overseeing customer accounts during both pre-sales and post-sales phases, tracking account status, and supporting customer success through value-focused management and identifying opportunities to attract new customers in the industry.

Account Management 

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with assigned clients, ensuring their satisfaction and continued use of SpecTec solutions. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely responses.  

Strategic Partnerships 

  • Maximize the potential of existing strategic partnerships and create new ones, particularly with e-procurement suppliers and other platform integrators. 

  

Revenue Growth 

  • Drive revenue growth by upselling and cross-selling SpecTec’s software solutions. Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.  

Market Expansion 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the maritime industry, focusing on ship managers, ship owners, operators, shipyards, and builders.  

Customer Relationship Management 

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders. Understand their business objectives and provide solutions that align with their goals. Organize and lead periodic business reviews with customers’ key stakeholders, both in-person and remote, report meeting outcomes, and follow up with agreed actions. 

CRM Management 

  • Utilise HubSpot to track sales activities, manage customer information, and ensure data accuracy. Regularly update the CRM system and company/sales reports to reflect current sales activities and pipeline status.  

Sales Reporting 

  • Generate and analyze sales reports to provide insights and support strategic decision-making. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.  

Collaboration 

  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure the successful delivery of solutions. Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activities. Take ownership of the relationship between SpecTec and the customer – work with colleagues to address problems proactively.

What you’ll bring 

  • 4+ years’ experience in SaaS sales, account management, or business development. 

  • Strong communication, relationshipbuilding, and problemsolving skills. 

  • Proficiency with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms. 

  • A driven, resultsfocused attitude with a track record of meeting sales targets. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote environment. 

  • (Bonus) Experience in the maritime sector and familiarity with industry standards.
