Roles & Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 5 years in the cloud industry with experience in cloud, Microsoft licensing, FinOps, or sales.
  • Knowledge of cloud licensing and software licensing; willingness and ability to self-learn cloud compute concepts.
  • Excellent oral and interpersonal skills, plus strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with the sales process and the ability to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external customers and executives.

Requirements:

  • Provide Workshops (Performance or Fundamental) to help customers develop a Cloud strategy, covering cloud best practices, cost savings, cloud license compliance, and efficiency.
  • Deliver Cloud projects to identify cloud sizing a customer has/will enable by analyzing client server utilization data and purchase/invoice history reports.
  • Compare sizing with potential optimization and prepare an Executive Summary that includes migration/optimize recommendations for the customer’s environment.
  • Analyze and interpret customer needs, instruct follow-up actions to additional Insight members, and ensure clients are connected with Insight services as next steps.

About the role

Primarily responsible for the identification of on-premises to Cloud solutions for clients using company products, and/or proprietary tools/techniques that others implement. Define client needs and develop a plan and proposal for delivery of the Cloud project. Viewed by customers as a consultant. This position should be used for individuals who are actively and regularly meeting with and presenting to clients. 

 

As a Cloud Economics Consultant you will:

  • Providing Workshops (Performance or Fundamental) to help customers develop a Cloud strategy by discussing Cloud best practices, cost savings, cloud license compliance, and efficiency.
  • Completing Cloud projects to identify Cloud sizing a customer has/will enable by analyzing client server utilization data and purchase/invoice history reports.
  • Completing comparison of sizing and Cloud possible optimization. In addition, the Consultant will write and provide an Executive Summary that includes suggestions to migrate/optimize the customer’s environment. 
  • Analyzing and interpreting customer needs, while instructing follow-up actions to additional Insight members. Ensuring clients have connected with Insight members as next steps or additional services.   

 

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years in the Cloud industry and should include but not limited to Cloud, Microsoft licensing, FinOps, and/or sales experience.  
  • Cloud or software licensing knowledge is desired. The willingness and ability to self-learn much of the Cloud compute information that will be necessary to serve as a resource for Insight is required.  Excellent oral and interpersonal skills are a must. Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills are also desired.
  • In addition, knowledge of the sales process combined with the ability to establish and maintain rapport with both internal and external customers and executives is needed. The Consultant must understand the company objectives and possess the ability to make decisions and undertake actions that balance customer needs with Insight solutions.
