  • Win new projects independently and with the backing of a global technology partner, leveraging Zühlke’s Data AI, digitalisation, and platform engineering capabilities to win complex mandates with utilities, grid operators, and energy service providers
  • Identify, qualify, and close digitalisation and transformation projects in the six- to seven-digit range
  • Build a solid sales pipeline within the first 6 months across utilities, grid operators, and energy service providers
  • Challenge clients with industry insights and data-driven perspectives that question existing assumptions and build strong C-level relationships based on substance

The role  

 

Zühlke is strengthening its position in the German energy sector. We combine strategic consulting with engineering excellence and deliver transformation end-to-end – from architecture to platforms and implementation. To grow in this market, we are not looking for a traditional sales profile, but for a business developer with strong closing DNA. Someone who understands the German energy market from own experience, generates business independently, and does not just convince decision-makers but challenges them with perspectives they have not considered before.

Your clear mandate: Win new projects. independently and with the backing of a global technology partner. You will leverage Zühlke’s expertise in Data & AI, digitalisation, and platform engineering to win complex mandates with utili-ties, grid operators, and energy service providers. You do not simply sell services, you bring new insights to the table, reframe problems, and guide clients towards decisions they would not have taken on their own.

 

How you’ll make impact 

  • Identify, qualify, and close digitalisation and transformation projects in the six- to seven-digit range

  • Build a solid sales pipeline within the first 6 months across utilities, grid operators, and energy service pro-viders

  • Challenge clients with industry insights and data-driven perspectives that question existing assumptions

  • Involve Zühlke colleagues when needed, for deep technical expertise, industry references, or critical deal moments

  • Build strong C-level relationships based on substance, not just relationship management

What’s important to us  

  • Proven track record in selling complex consulting, technology, or digitalisation programs in the energy sec-tor, with concrete deal references

  • Completed university degree, ideally in a technical or business-related field

  • Strong and active network in the German energy market

  • Experience closing large mandates with long sales cycles (6–12 months)

  • High level of self-motivation and ability to deliver results with minimal management overhead

  • Fluency in German and strong English skills

  • Understanding of topics such as smart grids, grid planning, critical infrastructure regulation, sector coupling or energy trading
