Job description

Make is the leading visual platform for anyone to design, build, and automate anything—from tasks and workflows to apps and systems—without the need for coding skills. We are headquartered in the flourishing tech hub of Prague, Czech Republic, and our teams are spread across the USA, UK, Germany, France, Canada, India and Chile, among other locations.

We're hiring a Video Creative Manager to define and deliver "must-watch" media for Make’s audience. You'll build our video capability from scratch - concepting formats, commissioning work from external partners, and establishing the processes that let us move at the speed the market demands. While video is the primary focus, you might also explore opportunities in audio formats where they make sense. This isn't about corporate content. It's about creating stories that make algorithms work in our favor, that stop scrolls, that make Make unmistakable in a sea of AI stories.

You’ll work with design, content, events, social, and performance teams to bring stories to life. You'll drive your own strategic initiatives while supporting others with theirs. You'll design the video factory we're building, then prove it works.

The team:

You'll join Make's Brand team, reporting to our Brand and Content Lead. You'll partner closely with our design team, channel owners across social, events, and performance marketing, and external agencies and freelancers. We have strong existing relationships with video partners, and we're looking to expand our network to elevate what's possible. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced video creative set up and manage execution of video projects at scale, with the support of external and freelance partners. 

What you’ll do:

  • Set Make's video strategy, establishing the formats and approach that drive cut-through storytelling and measurable impact on brand awareness and perception.
  • Define what “must-watch” looks like for our audience, and concept new video and multimedia formats that deliver it across digital channels - organic social, paid campaigns, YouTube, stage presentations, and beyond.
  • Commission and manage high-impact creative work internally and with the support of external agencies, freelancers, and production partners. You'll brief, art-direct, and ensure output aligns with Make's brand voice and business goals.
  • Build Make's internal video capability by establishing processes, collaborating with the right team members, and ensuring people know when to produce in-house vs when to call in specialists.
  • Deliver video and audio assets that support brand campaigns, product launches, customer stories, events, and performance marketing - balancing creative ambition with practical delivery timelines.
  • Experiment with emerging formats and tools, including AI-powered production workflows, to increase speed and output quality.
  • Lead creative projects end-to-end, from understanding business problems to translating them into compelling visual stories, managing production, and measuring impact.
  • Define and execute the approach for how video and multimedia content amplifies Make's presence across the customer journey, from awareness through advocacy.
  • Work cross-functionally with performance marketing, events, social, and comms teams to ensure creative output supports their goals and aligns with wider marketing initiatives while maintaining excellence.

About you:

  • 4+ years in creative video production, with a strong portfolio showing work that cuts through - whether in-house at a tech/SaaS company, at an agency, or in a content studio.
  • Proven ability to concept and produce video content that drives measurable results: engagement, reach, awareness, or performance metrics like CTR and CPC.
  • Strong understanding of digital content channels: what works on YouTube vs TikTok vs LinkedIn, how algorithms reward engagement, and how to create for both organic and paid distribution.
  • Experience featuring as host in videos, or strong experience directing others on-screen.
  • Experience commissioning and managing external creative partners (agencies, freelancers, production companies) and getting the best work out of them.
  • Deep understanding of video production practicalities: you know what's possible, what's expensive, what's fast, and when to push for quality vs speed.
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution skills: you can define a vision and roll up your sleeves to make it happen.
  • Genuine excitement about automation, AI, and how technology is changing work. Ideally, you're already using AI in your creative process.
  • Existing, demonstrable familiarity with Make as a tool - and a desire to use the platform more.
  • Particularly strong candidates will have strong familiarity with audio/podcast formats, as well as a proven track record of rapidly scaling creative output while keeping standards high - ideally within the AI, automation or SaaS space.
