ABOUT THE CLIENT:  

Our client is an Australian civil engineering and construction company that delivers infrastructure and development projects across the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and New South Wales.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Draftsperson will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings, developing 3D models and visualisations, and assisting with interior design elements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can independently manage documentation across multiple projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings and construction documentation from initial sketches and design concepts
  

• Develop accurate 3D models and produce high-quality renders for client presentations using SketchUp and Lumion
  

• Assist with interior design documentation, including kitchens, cabinetry, and spatial layouts
  

• Coordinate drawings with design intent, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all documentation stages
  

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines across a pipeline with ~6-month start timelines
  

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in drawings, plans, and specifications
  

• Collaborate closely with the architect to ensure designs are delivered to a high standard
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and documentation
  

• Strong experience with SketchUp for 3D modelling
  

• Experience using Lumion (or similar rendering software)
  

• Ability to interpret sketches and translate them into detailed, buildable plans
  

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  

• Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple projects
  

• Solid understanding of residential construction documentation (experience with commercial projects is a plus)
  

• Qualification in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field
  

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an architectural drafting or similar role
