Job Overview:
The IT Intern will support the Clinical Platforms and Infrastructure teams in delivering technology-driven solutions across the organization. This internship provides exposure to modern workplace technologies, cloud computing, AI/ML, cybersecurity, and agile software development practices. The intern will contribute to strategic IT initiatives and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Participate in the transformation of user experience technologies within the modern workplace.
Support technical debt remediation and application modernization efforts.
Contribute to the formation and sustainability of Cloud and IT Service Operation Centers of Excellence.
Assist in front-end development tasks and collaborate with the Clinical Platforms team.
Engage in technical project management and agile delivery practices.
Learn and apply industry-standard tools and methodologies in real-world scenarios.
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a University degree in one of the following or related fields:
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
- Information Technology
- Software Engineering
- Management Information Systems
- Security and Risk Analysis
Demonstrated interest or experience in AI/ML, software tools, or IT infrastructure.
Up-to-date knowledge of current industry standards and trending technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
Regular and consistent attendance.
Varied hours may be required.
