Roles & Responsibilities

3+ years of life sciences research experience, with emphasis on Single-Cell and NGS
APAC-based role requiring proficient English communication
Experience using Salesforce (CRM)
Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally (overnights)

Requirements:

Collaborate with Sales Support and Marketing to provide customer solutions, supply product expertise, support all sales, and help achieve product budget targets by identifying opportunities.
In Diagnostics, build and maintain customer relationships for 3-5 years and lead design-in activities by understanding development steps and detection principles to propose solutions leveraging material properties.
In Genomics, especially Single-Cell, engage with researchers at conferences and demos, capture insights, and provide feedback to APAC/global teams as success stories and challenges; occasional overseas travel for APAC support.
Create consumables web content, provide Japanese translations, and host webinars; conduct pre-sales meetings, product demonstrations, seminars, customer training, and post-sales support; build the sales pipeline, manage leads in Salesforce, and collaborate cross-functionally to maximize customer satisfaction and business impact; scope may include activities outside Japan.

The Diagnostics and Genomics Field Application Scientist is responsible for sales support for products related to the Diagnostics and Genomics areas.

This position reports to the Japan Diagnostics and Genomics Commercial Leader and is part of the Discovery Commercial APAC Team.

What you will do:

D&Gチームの主要な一員として、SSやMKTと協力してお客様の課題解決の為に当社のソリューションを提供していきます。
担当製品の目標予算達成に責任を持ち、SSへの製品専門知識の提供と、自らも現場で商機を見つけ出すことで、全ての販売をサポートします。
Diagnosticsのエリアでは3-5年と長期間にわたり顧客との関係を構築維持しながらDesign-in活動を進めます。顧客の各開発ステップにおける課題や検出原理を理解して各素材特性を生かした的確なソリューションを提案し続けていきます。Genomicsエリア特にSingle-cell businessでは多くの研究者との学会でのディスカッションや機器のデモを通じて得た知見をAPACやglobalチームにSuccess storyや課題をfeedbackします。定期的ではないものの、APACエリアにおいてサポートの為の海外出張もあり得ます。
Consumable businessを促進するためのWebコンテンツの作成、日本語訳、Webinarを実施します。プレセールス面談、製品デモンストレーション、セミナー、顧客トレーニング、アフターサポートにおいて高度な技術的専門知識を提供します。
ビジネス目標達成に向けた販売パイプライン構築のため、商機を開拓する。CRMソフトウェア（主にSalesforce）を活用し、リード案件および見込み顧客を管理します。
アカウントマネージャー、他のセールススペシャリスト、フィールドアプリケーションスペシャリスト、サービスエンジニア、マーケティング、プロダクトマネージャー、財務、法務、カスタマーサポートなど、国内外の各部門と効果的に連携することで、社内ネットワークを構築し、事業全体の相乗効果と、顧客満足度を最大化させます。
APACの一員として日本以外での活動も職務のスコープに入ります。

Who you are:

ライフサイエンスの分野で3年以上の研究職経験があること。（特にSingle-Cell、NGSのエリアで従事された経験があることが望ましい。）
APAC所属になるので英語でのコミュニケーションが苦にならないこと。
Salesfourceの使用経験があること。

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

国内海外問わず出張が出来ること。
Ability to travel – 50 % travel, overnight, domestic and international
