We invite applications for Board Certified or Eligible Physician to join our growing medical group in the Hospice and Palliative Medicine department. Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) Board Eligibility is required. Completion of an HPM fellowship is strongly preferred. Candidates should have excellent communication, collaboration, and primary care medical skills. This You will join an integrated and compassionate team of physicians and supportive clinical and administrative staff, and will the ability to provide high-quality, comprehensive care.
This role is a part-time (.50 FTE), 100% virtual role. All shifts will be PST and primarily days with one weekend day per month (24-hour shift) and 2 nights per month. If you live in the Portland metro area, we can also support in-person patient care if interested. We are open to hiring a qualified Hospice physician from the following states (OR, WA, CA, NV, FL, AL, NC, FL, GA, TX, CO). There will also be a 1-week, in-person orientation and training as part of the onboarding process. For this role, you will need an active license in your home state, OR and WA as well as DEA’s at the time of credentialing.
This is an exciting time to work in the department of hospice and palliative medicine at Northwest Permanente. The opportunities for palliative care clinicians are challenging and varied, and there is broad institutional support for our mission. We place strong emphasis on a team-first, collaborative approach. You will need to be flexible to support our robust Palliative Medicine program across our full range of patient needs. As a Hospice Palliative Care physician, you will join our 18-physician/provider team in Portland, Oregon. As a member of our group, you will practice end-of-life care in a supportive, collegial environment, as an essential member of our hospice palliative care team. Kaiser Permanente NW has its own hospice program, home-based palliative care, integrated clinic-based palliative care, and an inpatient consultation service.
The annual salary for this position is $102,500 - $116,400 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
