The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to oversee a cross-functional team responsible for platform maintenance and light feature evolution. This role requires a broad understanding of the entire tech stack, the ability to coordinate across frontend, backend, mobile, and DevOps disciplines, and strong communication skills to interface with client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate a distributed team of frontend, backend, mobile, and DevOps engineers
Provide architectural guidance across all layers of the platform
Drive technical decision-making and ensure alignment with the client’s engineering guidelines and product roadmap
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices
Serve as the primary technical point of contact between the delivery team and client stakeholders
Identify technical risks and proactively propose mitigation strategies
Facilitate sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives in collaboration with project management

Tech Stack:

React Native (with limited native modules) for mobile applications
Next.js (SSR) with React for web frontend
Sanity (headless CMS) for content management
TypeScript / Fastify for backend services
Elasticsearch for personalization and caching
Redis / Valkey for key-value caching
GCP infrastructure: Kubernetes and Cloud Run

Required Skills:

8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
3+ years in a technical lead or architect role managing cross-functional teams
Strong proficiency across full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems (React, Next.js, Node.js, Fastify)
Working knowledge of React Native and mobile development workflows
Experience with cloud-native architectures (GCP preferred) (Kubernetes, Cloud Run)
Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Redis/Valkey, and headless CMS platforms (Sanity preferred)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across US time zones

Nice to Have:

Prior experience in sports, media, or entertainment platforms
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
Familiarity with performance optimization and caching strategies at scale
