About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer (Automation) to join a delivery-focused team supporting enterprise transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on automation engineer with experience building test frameworks, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and improving release confidence across API and UI environments. This role is best suited to someone who is highly technical, execution-focused, and comfortable working directly with stakeholders while still doing the work themselves. The engineer should also have practical exposure to non-functional and performance testing, with the ability to identify stability and performance risks before go-live.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain automated test coverage across API and UI layers.
Build and improve reusable automation frameworks.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Support functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Identify and communicate non-functional risks including performance and stability concerns.
Help reduce production issues by improving pre-go-live quality coverage.
Work closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders throughout delivery.
Support defect triage, quality reporting, and release readiness decisions.
Contribute to documentation and handover to support ongoing delivery and BAU needs.
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience in QA automation or test engineering.
Strong experience with automation, CI/CD, and framework building.
Experience testing APIs and UI workflows.
Ability to stay hands-on rather than operating only as a lead or coordinator.
Experience working closely with stakeholders while remaining technically deep.
Exposure to non-functional or performance testing and related risks.
Strong understanding of system stability, failure points, and release readiness.
Experience supporting enterprise or complex integrated systems.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Availability to work in a remote setup aligned with the required time zone.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling.
Strong SQL skills for validation and troubleshooting.
Experience in financial services or other regulated environments.
Experience supporting long-running transformation or modernization programs.
