What To Expect

As part of the Insurance Services team, the primary responsibility of the Account Manager is to manage the wholesale and program accounts and workflow. This role is also responsible for communicating with agents and collaborating with the underwriting teams. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with some flexibility at manager’s discretion.


What You’ll Do

  • Work within email, agency management systems and carrier partners systems.  
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in account management functions for the assigned accounts.  
  • Enter new business submissions into carrier systems. 
  • Collaborate with carrier underwriting on the next steps with an account. 
  • Communicate with our agency partners for necessary marketing information. 
  • Manage the wholesale and program account workflow from the initial point of contact for submission to bind and renew.  
  • Work closely with the underwriting and the business development teams to achieve the results for getting new and renewal business out to market and quotes secured for our agency partners. 
  • Assist in necessary tasks to get information from agencies and carriers regarding new and renewal business submissions. 
  • Document all activity on accounts and communication with agents, underwriting, and business development within the Agency Management System.  
  • Identify and work to create process improvement where necessary in our new business submission model with carriers and internally between systems. 
  • Pivot quickly from one account, agency, state, or carrier at any one time as business requires it. 
  • Contribute to overall company strategy and execution. 
  • Provide feedback from carriers to underwriting and continually focus on process improvement.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
Requirements

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field 
  • Insurance experience preferred.

Unless fully remote, this position operates in a professional office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. However, some filing is necessary and may require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Salary Description
$60,000 - $86,700
