IDEXX is seeking an AI API Specialist to support our ecosystem of AI-driven, third‑party commercial partners. In this role, you’ll serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor to partners building integrations with IDEXX practice management software. You’ll play a key role in enabling successful integrations, supporting ongoing partner implementations, and shaping the evolution of our AI API offerings through direct partner collaboration.

In this role, you will

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for IDEXX’s AI API platform and third‑party commercial integrations.
  • Support the intake and onboarding of new commercial integration partners, including:
    • Understand partner use cases and provide guidance as needed to assist with partner implementation.
    • Understand integration best practices and provide guidance as needed to ensure high quality integrations.
    • Set up and maintain partner sandbox environments.
    • Ensure that reasonable timeframes are maintained
  • Provide ongoing technical support to active integration partners post‑launch.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers to: Gather partner feedback and real‑world use cases.
  • Influence roadmap discussions and prioritize high‑value API enhancements.
  • Monitor partner API usage and ensure integrations adhere to commercial, performance, and technical guidelines.
  • Stay current on IDEXX products, evolving API capabilities, and industry trends related to AI and system integrations.
  • Mentor and support team members as the partnership’s ecosystem grows.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience supporting APIs, integrations, or technical partnerships.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with APIs, including:
    • RESTful APIs and integration architectures.
    • API design patterns, conventions, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to work directly with external customers or partners in a technical, customer‑facing role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and partner engagements simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort operating independently.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting commercial or third‑party integrations at scale.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and support platforms such as Freshdesk.
  • Background working with healthcare, veterinary, or practice management software.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members.
