Description of Work
This position is in the DEQ Stewardship Program which is responsible for monitoring and managing Department-held conservation properties, easements, and agreements. These properties, easements, and agreements include those generated through the DEQ Division of Mitigation Services, dedications and registry agreements established through the Nature Preserves Act, and other conservation properties managed by the Department. Program activities include monitoring, study, enforcement, and site-management for the purposes of protecting the ecological integrity of these conservation properties.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Recruitment Range: $47,703.00 - $63,147.00

This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and remote workdays. The NC Department of Environmental Quality trusts our employees to be self-motivated and successful in hybrid/remote roles. Telework options are subject to change at the discretion of management.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in one of the agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.EEO Statement
