Department Overview:
The Healthcare Partnership (HCP) teamβs mission is to develop direct relationships with biotech, pharmaceutical, and healthcare Industries. This high performing team of subject matter experts is responsible for leveraging knowledge in the role fundraising, sales, and marketing play in driving partnership growth while maintaining an understanding of the scientific drug development process and pipelines. Each member of the HCP team will have ultimate accountability aligning internally and externally to build strategic large-scale relationships.
Position Overview::
The Account Manager, Healthcare Partnerships supports the strategy and execution for corporate partnership development and account management within the biotech, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, including the pursuit of new partners, managing and cultivating relationships, implementation of corporate philanthropy programs, and driving account engagement to achieve MDA mission priorities and significant revenue targets of $1M+
Location:
This is currently a remote position with occasional travel requirements.
Salary:
This position's salary range is $60,000 - $65,000. Final offer amounts and levels are determined by multiple factors, including your experience, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively develop and manage personal portfolio of accounts to drive over $1M in revenue.
- Develop and implement comprehensive partnerships within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry that align with organizational priorities.
- Develop effective marketing and sponsorship opportunities and secure funding in support of MDAβs annual Clinical & Scientific Conference.
- Communicate clear performance expectations with team members and conduct regular coaching meetings focused on driving results.
- Ensure strong ROI through all partnership opportunities
- Continually assesses external factors (messaging, marketplace, competition, etc.) to inform the corporate strategy development process.
- Cultivate relationships within corporate partnerships through effective, personalized year-round stewardship.
- Demonstrate resilience and a willingness to try new tactics based on the changing needs of MDA and prospective partners.
- Work cross-functionally to identify, create, and execute partnerships that promote the mission, organizational values, and vision across diverse audiences while elevating the MDA brand.
- Quickly identify obstacles and propose mitigating solutions to advance funding opportunities.
- Maintain consistent utilization of Salesforce in effective relationship management and operational excellence.
- Develop compelling presentations and proposals according to the specific needs of prospects and partners.
- Maintain the highest level of communication and cooperation while building long-term relationships with industry partners and MDA employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs Degree required.
- 3+ years successful biopharma or other relevant healthcare experience in fundraising, consultative selling, corporate engagement, and executive relationship development, preferably with a multi-million-dollar organization.
- Demonstrated experience in cultivating, stewarding, and executing multi-year, multi-faceted corporate partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of the pharma/biotech product development lifecycle, pharma guidelines, and communications requirements, medical education (CME/non-CME) and scientific communications.
- Working knowledge of patient and provider supported registries and the range of data sources available to populate registry platforms a plus
- Experience using CRM tool, preferably Salesforce.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to represent MDA with excellence in building and cultivating relationships and influence strategies for high level corporate executives, community leaders, high net worth individuals, and diverse constituents.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills as well as strong business acumen to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all organizational levels both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to commit to and achieve clear personal goals and thrive in an environment of individual and team accountability.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and marketing skills.
- Ability to travel as necessary.
