Our client is looking for a high-level Creative Strategist to lead performance creative across the business. This role sits at the intersection of data, creativity, and growth—owning the development of new concepts, scaling winning ideas, and driving consistent creative output that converts.

How they see the role: creative strategists used to just need to "make good ads." Now they need deep knowledge of business growth, media buying tactics, COGS, overall business metrics.

As Sarah Levinger puts it — they're becoming the "mini CMO" who bridges the gap between paid social and business decisions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ruthlessly prioritize high-impact creative over calendar-driven requests
  • Push back on low-leverage work (yes, even from leadership)
  • Focus on evergreen creative that can scale, not just feed the content calendar
  • Think critically about which creative initiatives will actually drive customer acquisition
  • Translate data into new hooks, angles, and concepts that drive performance
  • Bridge the gap between what's working in ads and broader business strategy
  • Immersing themselves in content across the entire industry (not just competitor research)
  • Building systems for regenerating their understanding of customers
  • Using the products they're selling (one strategist I heard about literally tries the product every Monday)
  • Consuming culture and trends, not just data
  • Leveraging AI tools for research, copywriting, and ideation

Requirements

  • 3+ years in creative strategy/performance marketing/DTC environment
  • 2+ years hands-on with paid media platforms (Meta, TikTok)
  • Portfolio of conversion-focused UGC scripts and ad concepts
  • Data-savvy: can turn creative performance insights into hypotheses
  • Proficiency with Meta Ads Manager, Ads Libraries, creative research tools
