Accountant for a Real Estate Company (US-Based/Remote)

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Accountant to support our financial operations, reporting requirements, compliance tasks, and internal process improvements. This role will work closely with our team and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, proactive, and able to learn quickly.

Responsibilities:

• Support monthly book closing and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Review quarterly and annual financial statements and highlight any issues or insights.
• Assist with quarterly investor updates and financial communications.
• Prepare budgets and help monitor spending throughout the year.
• Support tax-related tasks, including filing returns and sending annual 1099 forms to vendors.
• Manage annual insurance renewals and file insurance claims when needed.

Bonus Responsibilities (Nice to Have)

• Assist with financial due diligence and underwriting for acquisitions.
• Provide support during deal closings and transaction processes.
• Experience with Rent Manager.
• Ability to automate or streamline financial tasks and workflows.
