Job Description Summary:

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Functional Analyst.

The candidate shall be responsible for developing and / or maintaining Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and other technical documentation deliverables for the GTP / GOPAX Applications for USTRANSCOM, Department of Defense.

How a Functional Analyst Will Make an Impact:

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Apply the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to the GTP / GOPAX applications. Develop and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents as required to prepare products and systems for submission to an ATO authority. Such documents include, but are not limited to Incident Response Plans, Configuration Management Plans, Information System Contingency Plans, and Access Control Plans to ensure they are up to date. This includes working with Government and Contractor stakeholders to ensure controls are kept up to date and the latest information and formatting guidelines are included in the plans.
  • Conduct and guide the analysis needed to gather information needed to produce RMF artifacts or other technical documents / Visio diagrams.
  • Assist in conducting vulnerability / risk analysis of systems and applications during all phases of the SDLC. Document noncompliance findings and create tickets in Jira for remediation.
  • Validate and review documentation for SOP.
  • Assist in updating and developing system or applications diagrams / use cases in Visio.
  • Provide meeting notes from meetings attended on behalf of / or in coordination w/ Program Manager, as needed.
  • Formulate plans and schedules for deliverables of portions of the RMF process or technical documents to be delivered as identified.
  • Engage with the team and stakeholders to understand software system needs and develop requirements for system or application changes for documentation.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Strong communication skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail are crucial in managing of the security documentation and coordinating with stakeholders and the deliverables. These skills are vital to ensure secure system operations and maintain regulatory compliance in sensitive environments.
  • A team player on an Agile team, cross-functional, self-organizing collaborator.
  • Must be proactive and transparent with blockers, highly adaptable to changing priorities, highly motivated and focused.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles.
  • Support 7:30-4:30 CST schedule (with flexibility).
  • Maintain DOD mandated certifications such as Security+ and other common computing environment requirements as provided by the customer, a DoD 8140 certification is required.
  • BS degree, in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Secret Security Clearance.
  • Per DoD 8140 Requirement:  you must possess one of these Certifications above (or higher): Security+ or GSEC and/or BS Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.

The likely salary range for this position is $69,700 - $94,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
