Remote OASIS Reviewer

About the Role

Custom Home Health is seeking an experienced OASIS Review Specialist to support our Quality team on a contingent, per-chart basis. This fully remote role offers flexibility while allowing you to contribute your expertise in OASIS accuracy, ICD-10 coding, and regulatory compliance.

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly skilled reviewer who values flexibility and is confident working independently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform prospective review of OASIS assessments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Validate ICD-10 coding and sequencing based on patient diagnoses and comorbidities
Utilize OASIS validation and alert reports to identify inconsistencies
Collaborate with clinicians to clarify documentation and ensure data integrity
Identify trends impacting quality outcomes, compliance, and reimbursement
Review visit utilization for appropriateness and potential under/over-utilization
Communicate findings and trends to leadership
Participate in QAPI and quality improvement initiatives as needed
Conduct inter-rater reliability reviews when applicable
Assist with additional chart audits as assigned

Qualifications

1–2+ years of home health clinical experience required
Strong working knowledge of OASIS and ICD-10 coding
OASIS certification preferred
Home Health ICD-10 coding certification required
Knowledge of Medicare regulations and home health compliance
Experience with EMR systems (WellSky experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
