About the Job

We are looking for a Contract Blockbuster Animator that specializes in using McHorses Blockbuster to help produce original YouTube Shorts and intros for our Aphmau YouTube channel. Working closely with our Marketing team this role brings scripted short-form stories to life using provided assets.

This is a specialized, in-game animation role exclusively using McHorse’s Blockbuster mod inside Minecraft, not a traditional animation position. A 3D Reel demonstrating Blockbuster work is required for consideration.

What You'll Do

• Animate Shorts and intros using McHorse’s Blockbuster
• Execute scripted scenes with character movement, timing, and performance
• Work entirely within Minecraft environments
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet fast-paced production deadlines
• Perform light editing and delivery using Adobe Premiere Pro
• Iterate quickly based on feedback

What We’re Looking For

• Proven, hands-on experience using McHorse’s Blockbuster mod
• Experience using Aperture mod in-game camera work
• Portfolio or reel that clearly shows Minecraft Blockbuster animation work
• Experience producing short-form content (YouTube, TikTok, Reels)
• Strong understanding of Minecraft mechanics and environments
• Ability to follow and work from scripts and production briefs
• Time management in a high-volume content pipeline
• Effective communication and ability to apply feedback

Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with other McHorse tools
• Experience with Aphmau-style content or roleplay content
• Knowledge of character-driven storytelling or skit content
• Understanding of YouTube gaming or Shorts trends

Compensation$30 - $50/hr based on experience
