What You Will Do:
Fixed Asset and Intercompany Accounting:
- Lead Fixed Asset and Intercompany accounting activities for companies in scope within Harman’s global organization
- Coordinate closing activities and ensure deadlines are met
- Answer ad-hoc questions regarding Fixed Asset and Intercompany accounting
Audit & Compliance:
- Enforce compliance with Harman policies and internal/external audit standards
- Ensure timely responses to audit requests
- Oversee adherence to internal controls
Team & Leadership:
- Monitor the performance of subordinate staff, set targets, and provide feedback
- Provide training and support to direct reports as applicable
- Collaborate with the line manager to provide professional guidance
Process Improvement & Reporting:
- Support new projects and process improvements as a lead participant and validate test results
- Identify process, system, and standardization improvement opportunities
- Provide Fixed Assets KPIs and metrics regularly
Collaboration:
- Collaborate cross-functionally within and outside GSSC
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Strong accounting knowledge with at least 5 years of experience
- Team management experience
- Fluent in English and Hungarian
- Professional qualification in accounting, IFRS certification
- Proven track record in fixed assets accounting
- Advanced knowledge of local statutory accounting principles and/or IFRS
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong problem-solving skills
- Willing to work in a hybrid model, with at least one day at the office
Bonus Points if You Have:
- Shared Services experience
- SAP experience
