You will join our Shared Services Center based in Szekesfehervar, Hungary in the position of:

What You Will Do:

Fixed Asset and Intercompany Accounting:

  • Lead Fixed Asset and Intercompany accounting activities for companies in scope within Harman’s global organization
  • Coordinate closing activities and ensure deadlines are met
  • Answer ad-hoc questions regarding Fixed Asset and Intercompany accounting

Audit & Compliance:

  • Enforce compliance with Harman policies and internal/external audit standards
  • Ensure timely responses to audit requests
  • Oversee adherence to internal controls

Team & Leadership:

  • Monitor the performance of subordinate staff, set targets, and provide feedback
  • Provide training and support to direct reports as applicable
  • Collaborate with the line manager to provide professional guidance

Process Improvement & Reporting:

  • Support new projects and process improvements as a lead participant and validate test results
  • Identify process, system, and standardization improvement opportunities
  • Provide Fixed Assets KPIs and metrics regularly

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally within and outside GSSC

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Strong accounting knowledge with at least 5 years of experience
  • Team management experience
  • Fluent in English and Hungarian
  • Professional qualification in accounting, IFRS certification
  • Proven track record in fixed assets accounting 
  • Advanced knowledge of local statutory accounting principles and/or IFRS 
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong problem-solving skills 
  • Willing to work in a hybrid model, with at least one day at the office

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Shared Services experience
  • SAP experience
