Position Title: Director, Network Expansion
Base Salary: $147,000 to $197,000 annually DOE
Bonus: Target annual bonus

Job Summary
The Director of Network Expansion is responsible for planning and executing the company’s network growth strategy. This role leads market expansion initiatives, oversees network build programs, and ensures timely, cost-effective delivery of infrastructure to support revenue growth and customer demand.
This role will initially operate as an individual contributor, with responsibility expected to expand over time to include leadership of a team as network expansion efforts scale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Network Expansion Strategy & Execution
· Define and execute the network expansion roadmap aligned with business objectives, market demand, and revenue targets.
· Lead market entry, density expansion, and network infrastructure build programs across fiber, transport, access, and IP networks.
· Translate strategic objectives into executable expansion plans with clear milestones and deliverables.
Program Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution
· Build and scale a high-performing network expansion team as organizational needs grow, including defining roles, hiring, and developing future direct reports.
· Partner closely with Engineering, Construction, Operations, Sales, and Finance to deliver expansion initiatives end to end.
· Coordinate dependencies and handoffs across teams to ensure seamless execution from planning through activation.
· Provide clear leadership and decision-making across complex, multi-workstream programs.
Financial & Vendor Management
· Own expansion business cases, capital planning, and investment prioritization to ensure efficient use of capital.
· Manage vendors, contractors, and strategic partners supporting network builds.
· Track budgets, forecast capital spend, and ensure cost-effective delivery of expansion initiatives.
Governance, Risk, and Performance Management
· Establish and monitor key performance indicators, delivery milestones, schedules, and financial metrics.
· Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies across expansion programs and implement mitigation strategies.
· Ensure all expansion activities meet service quality, operational readiness, and regulatory requirements.
Other Duties
· Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
· Minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years of experience in telecommunications network planning, deployment, or expansion.
· Demonstrated leadership experience delivering large-scale network growth or infrastructure programs.
· Proven experience in leading teams, assisting managers and executives, and enhancing an organization's performance as a whole.
· Experience scaling or developing teams in dynamic or growth-oriented environments.
· Strong understanding of service provider network infrastructure, including fiber, access, transport, and IP.
· Experience with capital planning, vendor management, and cross-functional execution.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Masters’ degree in a related field.

· Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills to a variety of situations.
· Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines.
· Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Work Environment
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work is primarily a modern office setting.
