WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: (Job Summary)

This is an individual contributor position reporting to the Director of Business and Geospatial Intelligence. It develops and delivers reporting, analytics, dashboards, mapping and data models to strengthen decision‑making across DCS using PowerBi and ArcGIS. The role manages the analytical components of Response Operations projects, builds automated data solutions, streamlines reporting processes, and creates clear visualizations to communicate operational insights. Serving as a primary data and functional point of contact, the Analyst supports data literacy and governance, interprets performance trends for stakeholders, and recommends data‑driven improvements.

  • Run analytical / reporting component of Disaster Cycle Services Response Operations projects from requirements to deployment.
  • Identify opportunities across Disaster Cycle Services to streamline and enhance tools and processes and log appropriately (e.g., report catalog, overlap/redundancy, gaps).
  • Create compelling presentations and data visualizations to convey Disaster Cycle Services Response Operations information.
  • Build complex solutions & tools, to include automated data flows and models to eliminate manual workflows.
  • Serve as central point of contact and representative for a specific Disaster Cycle Services function, subject area, or data specialty.
  • May serve as secondary point of contact and representative for a specific Disaster Cycle Services function, subject area, or data specialty.
  • Steward of data decisions, literacy, and governance for Disaster Cycle Services.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: (Qualifications)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Management Experience: N/A
  • Skills & Abilities: Must have high attention to detail. Advanced skills in Excel required. May require advanced knowledge of technical skills (e.g. Python, Power BI, PowerPivot, etc.). Ability to work on a team.
  • Travel: May require some travel.

* Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Physical Requirements: Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.

Compensation:  The starting salary range for this position is $85,000. - $95,000. This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded. *This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.
