Summary of Position

The Billing Analyst is responsible for reviewing adjustments submitted by billing specialists for accuracy and may need to research further. For example, if there is an appearance of rate discrepancy or possible eligibility issue. The Billing Analyst will know how to interpret contracts to understand invoicing impact. The Billing Analyst is responsible for performing accounting and financial work involving billing preparation, research, analysis, recording, reconciliation and reporting for the organization.  The Billing Analyst may also support audit requests relative to revenue including audit sampling for various types of transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Assistant Controller with month-over-month analysis, researching and resolving invoicing discrepancies.

• Assist with escalations when first and second attempts are not successful.

• Analyze billing procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Coordinate with Sales, Contracting, Fleet Ops, and Logistics staff members as needed

• Assists in preparing reports for ledgers and reconcile statements and ensure data integrity

• Assists in performing account research, analyze variances and prepare appropriate reports

• Assist with audit support and revenue sampling for all revenue transactions
