Job description

African Safari Group is looking for a driven and dynamic Luxury Travel Consultant to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will work directly with international clients, converting high-value enquiries into unforgettable luxury safari experiences, with a strong focus on South African properties and itineraries.

This is a sales-focused position suited to a confident go-getter who thrives on targets, delivers exceptional service, and can manage multiple clients and bookings at a high level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings through strong consultative selling
  • Engage confidently with international clients via phone, email, and virtual communication
  • Design and quote luxury safari itineraries focused primarily on South African destinations
  • Manage the full booking process from enquiry to confirmation
  • Liaise with lodges, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain accurate records, quotes, and client communication in internal systems
  • Deliver a high level of service while managing multiple enquiries simultaneously

Requirements

  • Strong sales ability with a proven track record or clear sales-driven mindset
  • Go-getter attitude with a results-focused approach
  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and tools
  • Confident and comfortable speaking with clients over the phone
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload efficiently
  • Self-motivated and disciplined in a fully remote work environment

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Sabi Sands Game Reserve and the Kruger National Park (lodges, routing, and logistics)
  • Current experience in sales within the travel or safari industry
  • Understanding of luxury lodge operations and South African travel planning
