People Ops Administrator / Apprenticeship

Salary - up to £24,000 DOE 

The is an entry level administrator role within our People Ops team at Nearform. We are also open to an apprenticeship for this role - As an apprentice, you will be enrolled on a Level 3 HR Support apprenticeship, working towards a recognised qualification alongside your role. You will gain hands-on experience combined with structured study, with dedicated time allocated each week for your development. You'll begin building your skills in a real working environment from day one, supported by both your team and a dedicated training provider.

About the People Ops Administrator / Apprentice role

We are looking to grow our People and Talent team. Working collaboratively, you’ll provide administrative support to all members of the People and Talent Team and across Nearform. This is a great entry-level opportunity to kickstart your career in HR with opportunities to progress and make your mark on a business in a period of significant growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing effective and efficient administrative support to the People & Talent Team across all areas of employee lifecycle
  • Manage the new starter administration process, issuing offer letters, contracts of employment and benefits illustrations ensuring all paperwork is issued
  • Managing the full onboarding process including hosting People inductions, coordinating background screening and welcoming new hires to the company
  • Managing the People Team inbox and People channels on Slack; answering queries efficiently, finding solutions and escalating where necessary
  • Assisting with day to day operations of the People & Talent functions as required
  • Providing support on People & Talent Team projects and initiatives
  • Producing and maintaining People data and ensure all documentation is accurate and stored correctly
  • Providing support on all international payrolls
  • Dealing with Nearformers’ requests regarding People contracts, policies and procedures
  • Fully managing our HRIS (Netsuite), maintaining and updating People Team aspects of our intranet (Notion) and people enablement platform (Leapsome) ensuring this is kept updated with accurate information
  • Providing departmental managers with relevant reports, analytics or other information requested, in line with GDPR guidelines

 

What we are looking for in this person:

  • Someone with a proven interest in People & Talent and must have a desire to become an HR professional
  • Great organistional skills with exceptional follow through and high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to interface with management and peers. Other language skills (preferably Italian or Romanian) would be a benefit, although not necessary 
  • You’ll thrive working as part of a fast-paced People Team and scale-up business
  • Be ambitious and always strive to go above and beyond
  • Driven by continuous improvement – looks for new ways of working, takes ownership of ideas and delivers original and imaginative approaches

  • Experience using Google suite (gmail, sheets, docs, etc), Netsuite & Leapsome are an advantage

Our Interview Process (suggested - we can work this out together)

  1. Talent Call (30 mins via Zoom)
    An introductory conversation with a member of our Talent Team to learn more about your background, experience, and career goals. We'll also provide a high-level overview of Nearform and answer any questions you may have. This step helps us assess initial alignment.
  2. Interview with People team (45 mins via Zoom)
    This will be a further in depth interview around your background and to learn more about the role and the team.
  3. Final Interview with the Head of People (45 mins via Zoom)
