As an Accounts Receivable – Resident Information Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy while delivering compassionate service to the individuals and families we serve. Full-time, M-F, 9am to 5pm
As a key member of our team, you will support accounts receivable operations while providing exceptional service to residents, families, and internal teams.
Accounts Receivable - Resident Information Associate Responsibilities:
- Process daily cash receipts, security deposits, and bank deposits, ensuring accurate recording in the accounting system
- Communicate with financial institutions and troubleshoot banking issues as needed
- Manage returned checks and reconcile resident and miscellaneous accounts
- Monitor admission-related fees and transfer funds between accounts when necessary
- Track and maintain company-wide special rates and contractual adjustments
- Process and track refund requests across all communities
- Monitor rental payments, promissory notes, and account balances
- Research and resolve account discrepancies and misapplied payments
- Support internal teams (Office Managers, Marketing, Accounting) with account-related inquiries
- Respond to billing questions from residents and family members with professionalism and care
- Assist with collections efforts, including tracking delinquent and deceased resident accounts
- Maintain accurate reports and data tracking using Excel
- Manage incoming mail and assist with bank and post office runs as needed
- Set up and maintain automatic payment withdrawals for resident accounts
- Support and troubleshoot the online payment portal
- Provide guidance to marketing teams on financial documentation and processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Accounts Receivable - Resident Information Associate Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in billing, accounts receivable, or customer service required
- Healthcare or senior living experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office equipment
Work Environment and Schedule:
- Primarily a desk-based role (sitting for extended periods)
- Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting
- Daily interaction with standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, etc.)
- Requires occasional travel to local banks, the post office, and community campuses
