Overview:

 

We are looking for an experienced Talent and Learning Lead to shape the future capability of Solus. This senior role sets the strategy for Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development, Early Careers and mandatory non‑technical training, ensuring our people have the skills, confidence and support they need to thrive now and in the future.

 

You will work closely with Executive and HR leaders to create a forward‑looking, insight‑led approach to talent, strengthening our succession pipelines, building capability and driving a high‑quality, inclusive people experience across the organisation.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the strategic direction for Talent Acquisition, Early Careers, Leadership Development and non‑technical learning.
  • Provide expert, organisation‑wide workforce insight and long‑term capability planning.
  • Strengthen succession pipelines, future skills plans and internal mobility frameworks.
  • Oversee governance across recruitment, safeguarding, data protection and provider management.
  • Shape and champion an inclusive, accessible learning strategy that supports long‑term business needs.
  • Lead and develop the Talent, Recruitment and L&D teams, building a high‑performing function.
  • Influence senior leaders using clear evidence, workforce analytics and professional expertise.
  • Represent Talent and Learning within organisation‑wide change, integration and transformation programmes.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Extensive experience across Talent, Recruitment, L&D and Organisational Development within complex, multi‑site environments.
  • Proven background in senior workforce planning and multi‑year capability strategy design.
  • Strong governance and risk management expertise, including apprenticeships, data protection and compliance.
  • Ability to translate organisational priorities into clear, actionable Talent strategies.
  • Experience leading teams through change, integration or transformation.
  • Confident, influential stakeholder management at Executive level.
