Brief summary of role:
The People Operations Generalist is responsible for managing and scaling core People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle, ensuring a seamless, compliant, and high-quality employee experience. This role drives efficient onboarding, maintains HR data integrity, and ensures adherence to regulatory requirements. In partnership with cross-functional stakeholders, this individual optimizes systems, streamlines workflows, and implements scalable, process-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support organizational growth.
What you will be doing:
- Employee Lifecycle & Onboarding
- Manage and continuously improve new hire onboarding and new hire orientation programs, including preboarding through ramp, and expanding the department onboarding experience.Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including hires, transfers, promotions, leave of absence, and offboarding
- Ensure a consistent, compliant, and high-quality onboarding experience across all functions and geos
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity across systems
- Process benefits changes
- Manage personnel files in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring documentation readiness and compliance adherence
- Manage compliance processes: I-9/E-Verify, ACA filings, COBRA, payroll audits
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing timely and accurate support
- Partner with People Business Partners to address and resolve employee issues
- Develop and maintain documentation, FAQs, and resources to enable employee self-service
- Process Improvement & Systems
- Become a SME for UKG
- Become a SME for UKG reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Reduce reliance on manual processes and improve utilization of HR systems and tools, with focus on AI tools
- Generate ad hoc reports and support HR data requests
- Create, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows
- People Team Support
- Actively assists with the annual “Build” all company meeting
- Main back up to the POps Coordinator and POps Generalist
What we are looking for:
- 4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or a related field
- Significant experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG)
- Experience managing onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
- Strong attention to detail and consistent accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
- Working knowledge of HR compliance, personnel records management, and audits
- This role requires the ability to travel. The average travel requirements of this role are up to 5%.
Base Salary: $55,000 to $75,000
The “Base Salary: range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations including but not limited to CA, CO, NY, WA, NV, MD, CT and RI. The determination of this anticipated Base Salary involves the consideration of many factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: location of candidate, unique skill sets, experience, training, performance, licensure and certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs.
