The Mid-Market Sales Executive will sell into new logos in their assigned territory within Mid-Market accounts. She/He will prospect, qualify, demo, and close business in the Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living healthcare space and understand how to walk a prospect through a successful sales cycle. This person will be skilled in answering difficult questions and turning prospective customers’ challenges into advantages through consultative selling. The Sales Executive will routinely meet and exceed monthly/quarterly assigned quota targets.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Identify new prospects and business opportunities in the SMB/MM level market.
  • Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients at executive level. 
  • Perform high level short scripted initial demos. 
  • Assess customer needs and qualify sales opportunities. 
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives. 
  • Accurately forecast software, professional services and training opportunities on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Track all prospect activity in Salesforce. Meet documentation and reporting requirements. 
  • Analyze and understand customer needs and market trends; adapt, communicate and evolve strategies based on these changes.
  • Report out on key metrics like time to close, CAC, closing percentages and others. Establish clear meeting agendas and coordinate internal resources. 
  • Represent Smartlinx company at local, regional and national trade shows and events.
  • Diligently update own knowledge base around new Smartlinx product launches, improved value proposition and strategic fit for the customer base.
Requirements

Skills: 

  • Self-starter with excellent prioritization and time management skills. 
  • Proven success; demonstration of ability to exceed quota and/or sales goals throughout career,
  • Demonstration of increasing quota/responsibility over time. 
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal communication and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate in person, over the telephone and in written correspondence.
  • Well versed in Salesforce. 
  • Skilled with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 
  • The ability to travel—25-50%. 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field of study.
  • 2-3 years of experience selling software solutions OR demonstrated success in a Business Development role, an individual looking to step into a role owning full sales cycle. 
  • Knowledge of and experience in selling SaaS products is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of and experience in healthcare industry is preferred but not required.

Salary Description
$60-70K base. Variable up to 85% of salary at goal
