The Land & Air Defense Systems Strategic Business Unit Team has a great opportunity for an experienced Acquisition Professional in a highly collaborative role. You will foster relationships with suppliers and subcontracts in a fashion consistent with integrated supply chain models, recognizing the role and value of each participant through the acquisition life cycle from requirements generation through product delivery, product support, and payment for products and services. You will engage in supplier performance, relationship management, and strategic sourcing, as well as facilitate complex business agreements in support of the various contracts.
What You Will Do:
Preparation and issuance of RFP’s.
Perform cost analysis techniques in support of proposals.
Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms & Conditions).
Place subcontracts/purchase orders of high complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFARs) and corporate compliance requirements for various complex subcontracts (Cost Type, Incentive Type, Firm Fixed, etc.).
Nurture professional business relationships with first tier subcontractors.
Work closely with the Program and other functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, etc.) to achieve objectives.
Develop plans to promote cost reduction initiatives and performance improvements (technical and quality) in support of flawless supplier execution for programs.
Able to support travel as needed (up to 25%).
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:
Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
Requires expert or mastery level knowledge in procurement.
Project planning and management skills (ex: MS Project, EVMS).
Experience in working with development type of procurement and major subcontracts.
SAP based environment experience.
Experience with technical requirements of procured hardware and services – including Statement of Work (SOW) review.
Experience with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
Experience in written contractual authorization/vehicles (Cost Plus, Firm Fixed Price etc.).
Assess proposal compliance (FAR 15.4).

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
