They are looking for an experienced Senior Transactional Accountant to manage client portfolios and deliver high-quality financial reporting.

About the Job

The Senior Transactional Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping functions for a portfolio of international clients. This role involves overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, preparing accurate financial reports, and providing insights to support business decisions while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (Xero)
• Handle daily transactions, bank, AP & AR reconciliations 
• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance 
• Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) 
• Handle tax-related tasks (BAS, IAS, tax returns, FBT)
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards
• Provide financial insights, budgeting & forecasting support 
• Train and support junior team members 
• Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders

Requirements

• CA / ACCA / CPA qualified or degree in Accounting/Finance Minimum
• 5+ years of experience (preferably with Australian clients)
• Strong knowledge of GST, BAS, payroll, and tax compliance 
• Proficiency in Xero (Odoo/BGL is a plus) 
• Advanced Excel skills Strong English communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently
