Live Ops & Production Manager (Mobile Games)

Job description

We're looking for a Live Ops and Production Manager to own day-to-day execution and content delivery for a remote team building a mobile football game. This role combines sprint management, Live Ops calendar ownership, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, design, art, and QA.

You are responsible for keeping momentum high, shipping updates on schedule, and making sure work does not stall between disciplines. If you have hands-on Live Ops experience in mobile free-to-play games and know how to keep a distributed team moving without losing quality, this role is a strong fit.

Why You'll Want to Join

  • You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
  • Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
  • Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
  • 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
  • High ownership role embedded directly with product, engineering, and creative teams
  • Work on a globally licensed football gaming platform with real player impact

Timezone: This role requires availability during Central European Time with overlap into Pacific Time for cross-team collaboration.

What You'll Work On

Live Ops Execution and Planning

  • Own the Live Ops calendar and coordinate event, offer, and content releases end to end
  • Ensure assets, builds, QA gates, and approvals are aligned before every launch
  • Build repeatable checklists and release processes that reduce last-minute risk
  • Monitor event performance and flag issues or optimization opportunities quickly

Sprint and Delivery Management

  • Own sprint planning, execution, and retrospective cadence
  • Translate product priorities into clear sprint scope with defined definitions of done
  • Maintain backlog clarity and ticket quality with strong acceptance criteria
  • Keep workstreams aligned and moving across all disciplines

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Drive dependencies and handoffs across engineering, art, design, and QA
  • Surface risks early and escalate blockers before they become delays
  • Maintain alignment across time zones and functions without creating unnecessary process overhead

Release and QA Coordination

  • Coordinate build readiness and own go or no-go decisions before each release
  • Support structured bug triage and prioritization
  • Maintain release documentation, update logs, and post-launch reviews

Tooling and Workflow

  • Operate inside Linear as the single source of truth for project status
  • Enforce clean boards, clear workflows, and consistent documentation standards
  • Use AI tools to accelerate documentation, ticket writing, and process hygiene

What You Bring

  • 2 to 5+ years of experience in production or project management within mobile casual or free-to-play games
  • Hands-on Live Ops experience including scheduled events, content releases, and offer management
  • Strong understanding of F2P fundamentals including events, retention loops, and monetization cadence
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-moving environment
  • Clear written communication and strong async collaboration skills across distributed teams
  • Experience using Linear or comparable project management tools
  • High ownership mindset with strong follow-through and a bias toward action

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on licensed IP or sports-related mobile games
  • Familiarity with build and release pipelines
  • Exposure to automated QA processes
  • Comfort reading analytics dashboards and validating event performance
  • Experience balancing feature development with ongoing Live Ops simultaneously

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. Your updated resume
  2. A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) describing your Live Ops experience, what a typical release cycle looked like in your last role, and how you kept a cross-functional team aligned during a high-pressure launch

Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.

If you have shipped Live Ops updates in mobile games, know how to keep a distributed team on schedule, and want ownership over a real production pipeline on a globally licensed platform, this role gives you the scope and the impact to do your best work.
