SSI EMEA Solution Engineer

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a qualified, full-time Solution Engineer to join SSI EMEA. This is a remote opportunity anywhere in Europe. The Solution Engineer's objectives will be to understand the European shipbuilding market, identify customer needs and design tailored SSI digital shipbuilding solutions. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle. By delivering focused technical demonstrations, collaborating closely with the EMEA Business Manager and offering early implementation insight, you will ensure the proposed solution is both viable and valuable while building long‑term customer trust.

Please Note: SSI has clients internationally in different time zones and will require the candidate to be flexible with hours (but only 8hrs a day- 40hours a week) to support our diverse clients.

As the SSI EMEA Solution Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct deep technical discovery and requirements analysis.
• Design and architect tailored SSI digital shipbuilding solutions.
• Deliver technical demonstrations in support of the sales process
• Serve as the technical authority during the sales cycle.
• Collaborate closely with the EMEA sales manager to drive deal strategy.
• Provide early implementation insights.
• Maintain strong product, industry, and technology expertise.
• Build long‑term trust and pre‑sale customer confidence.
  
  

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with CAD, CAE, PLM, or related engineering software tools.
• Experience in shipbuilding or marine engineering is highly advantageous
• Backgrounds from industrial plant, process industries, or other advanced engineering environments are also well suited to this role.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proven effectiveness in customer-facing roles and matrix organizational environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
