Mission

As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling Homa’s data platform and the data-powered products that drive our business. You’ll work across infrastructure, pipelines, and applications : shipping reliable data systems and directly contributing to AI-native tools used across the company.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Own and evolve the data platform: build, maintain, and optimize the tools and infrastructure that every data person at Homa depends on daily.
• Build connectors, pipelines, and data assets: fetch, transform, and model data to deliver clean, reliable datasets that power product and business decisions.
• Deliver end-to-end data products: turn datasets into real solutions: market intelligence tools, product analytics, A/B testing pipelines, and more.
• Contribute to GenAI and LLM-powered systems: build and maintain data pipelines feeding our AI-native products, including agentic BI and self-service data experiences.
• Enable data access across the company: partner with analysts, data scientists, and product teams to make data faster, simpler, and more impactful to use.

This is a great opportunity to take on versatile ownership across platform and product, get hands-on with GenAI systems in production, and grow rapidly into strong technical responsibility, all inside one of the most data-centric companies in gaming.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with strong quantitative foundations and early technical experience in data or software engineering, and the humility, curiosity, ambition, and drive to make an impact fast. You’re a great fit if you have:

• Strong Python proficiency: you write clean, working code autonomously and take pride in the quality of what you ship.
• Solid SQL skills: you’re comfortable querying, transforming, and modeling data in a production environment.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving mindset: you structure problems clearly, dig into root causes, and follow through on solutions.
• Experience in a startup or scale-up environment: you’ve worked where speed and ownership matter, and you’ve interacted directly with data to drive results.
• Strong academic foundation: a degree in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, or a quantitative field.

Bonus points if you have:

• Exposure to modern data stacks (orchestration tools, cloud data warehouses, ETL/ELT patterns)
• Curiosity for or hands-on experience with LLMs, vector databases, or AI-driven systems
• Experience in the gaming industry
