  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5–7 years of Federal consulting experience (communications/presentation/design preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Visio; excellent written and verbal communication

Requirements:

  • Project management: collect information to launch new projects, provide operational support including stakeholder engagement and tracking timelines, prepare and maintain project documentation, agendas, and reports
  • Communications strategy: develop targeted messaging for internal and external audiences and produce memos, slides, fact sheets, case studies, articles, brochures, briefing books, and reports; ensure branding and clearance; manage approval workflows
  • Survey design and analysis: support customer and employee experience data collection via surveys, interviews, and focus groups; conduct root cause analysis and support action planning
  • Presentation and meeting facilitation: assist with high-quality meeting design and facilitation and help create collaborative forums for staff and leadership

Summary: The Strategy and Organization Development Consultant will support a major Department of Homeland Security (DHS) component with customer experience (CX) strategy, communications, survey development, analysis, and organizational improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Collect information required to launch new projects.
  • Provide operational support including stakeholder engagement and tracking timelines.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation, agendas, and reports.

Communications & Strategy

  • Develop targeted messaging for internal and external audiences.
  • Produce memos, PowerPoints, fact sheets, case studies, articles, brochures, briefing books, and reports.
  • Ensure materials follow branding standards and clearance protocols.
  • Manage communication approval workflows.

Survey Design, Administration & Analysis

  • Support customer and employee experience data collection via surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and support action planning.

Presentation / Meeting Facilitation

  • Assist with high‑quality meeting design and facilitation.
  • Help create collaborative forums for staff and leadership.

Business Process Management & Improvement

  • Contribute to improvements in processes, policies, and guidance.
  • Build job aids, procedures, web content, and communications plans.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current DHS TSA EOD / Suitability (Public Trust) 
  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • 5–7 years of Federal consulting experience (communications/presentation/design preferred). 
  • Strong command of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; design tools such as Canva or Visio a plus. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to develop high‑quality deliverables and executive briefings. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively. 
  • Ability to coordinate schedules, workshops, and stakeholder engagements. 
  • Experience producing products under tight deadlines. 
  • Experience with SharePoint site design (preferred).

Clearance Requirement: Active and Current DHS TSA Public Trust

Work Location & Schedule:

  • Primary Location: Remote 
  • Onsite Requirements:100% Remote
